Pupil Premium is a government funding initiative which aims to ensure that extra money goes to those children who could benefit from it the most. This includes children who have been entitled to free school meals and children who are, or have been at some stage, looked after by the local authority.
At Molescroft, we have a low percentage (currently about 7%) of children who qualify for Pupil Premium funding. Although this means we receive much less funding than some schools, it does ensure that we can track each individual Pupil Premium child closely and target funding effectively.
Impact of all our initiatives is assessed based on value to the child. After tracking progress and achievement, we consider the best approach and combination of strategies for each individual Pupil Premium child.
