Please find below links to some sites you might find useful in supporting your child learning at home. Lots of these are great if you’re looking for some extra activities on top of the learning sent home from school.


Classroom Secrets – This is a Government Department for Education recommended site which is currently providing some good, free home learning resources.


Active East Riding – East Riding site with good ideas for activities during the ‘stay at home’ period.

BBC Daily Lessons – The BBC’s new resource of daily lessons for learning from home. They aren’t linked directly to the home learning activities we are setting, but look great for an extra lesson if you need one!

Usborne – Play and Learn at Home – Lots of activities, ideas and things to do when learning from home. All free.


Barefoot Computing – Home based activities based on computational thinking.

Spelling Shed – Children will have a login for this website which is excellent for practising spellings and phonics.

TT Rock Stars – A great site for practicing Times Tables skills.

Numbots – a maths practice game. Children can use their Numbots or TT Rockstars log in to gain access.

Showbie – The site we use to share resources and feedback with children.

BBC Bitesize – The BBC will be adding more content here to support parents with children learning from home.

East Riding Libraries – Join the library and make use of their free ebooks BorrowBox app below.

BorrowBox – App for all platforms to read books borrowed from local library service.

Usborne Books are currently selling all their ebooks for 98p on Amazon Kindle and Google Play ebook stores. These can be read on any devices using the relevant apps.

Twinkl – Sign up for a month’s free ‘ultimate’ parent access account and find lots of resources you can use with your child. Use the code PARENTSTWINKLHELPS when you sign up.

BBC Sounds – lots of great audio content for children to enjoy and learn from whilst they are at home.

Out Of The Ark – Music at home for when you’d like to brighten up your day with some musical activities!

Khan Academy – a totally free education system covering large areas of the curriculum with apps for all devices.

Khan Academy Kids – Khan academy for children aged 2-7.

BBC Teach – A selection of videos and resources from the BBC covering lots of different areas that you could explore with your children.

BBC Supermovers – Another exercise resource with some Maths built in!

Duolingo – An extremely effective language learning app – children can choose to improve their French or Spanish, or they could even start to learn a brand new one.

Scratch – A free coding site where children can create their own stories and games. Tutorials are included in the site.

The Body Coach – Joe Wicks will be leading a live daily workout for children at 9am Monday to Friday

Experimental – Science experiments you can do at home, from The Royal Insitution

Audible Stories – Free stories to stream to your device.

NASA Kids’ Club – Play games and learn about space.

Premier League Primary Stars – A range of resources which will support learning from home.
